Andreadis on Jules Verne and Captain Nemo

Working scientist, SF writer, and blogger Athena Andreadis alerted me today that she has written a post on steampunk, Captain Nemo, and Jules Verne’s important SF work, “Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea,” which has been picked up by the World SF blog.

She is one of the most important writers working online today on the entwined subjects of SF, science, and society. Her essays are always thought-provoking and written with flare and precision. (And she frequently has cool artwork to accompany her posts, as a nifty bonus.) If you don’t have her blog, Starship Reckless, bookmarked, you are missing out.
